Multichannel Art Director

Inside Marketing Department, the Multichannel Art Director is responsible to bring in house some “creative activities” now followed by the Advertising Agency.

Main activities and accountabilities

- Multichannel Art Director needs to visualize how a product or a brand can be promoted across multiple mediums and markets to provide the best strategy for QVC, collaborating with the copywriter.
- He/She needs to integrate television and newspaper ads, websites, print materials, promotional products and/or direct-mail pieces in a cohesive and strategic way.
- Multichannel Art Director must make sure that products deliver QVC's message effectively and in keeping with its brand image.
- In addition to overseeing work, Multichannel Art Director may be expected to design materials themselves. These can include websites, logos, print materials, retail displays and detailed storyboards used to illustrate how a television advertisement should appear.
- Multichannel Art Director may make presentations to QVC management and represent their company at business and civic events.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in graphic design or a related field
- 5-6 years of working experience in an Agency or in a Company in a similar role

Hard Skills

- A solid understanding of color theory, branding, typography and composition principles is essential
- Microsoft Office
- Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Dreamweaver, Acrobat and Flash
- Digital skills
- Proficiency in HTML may also be a job requirement
- Using Apple-brand computers could be considered a plus
