UX/UI Designer

Al.ta Cucina

Ciao there!

My name is Simone, I’m the co-founder of Al.ta Cucina, a fast growth multi-channel brand around Italian cuisine.

We are media company and we're making the transition to become a tech company in the food space.

Our community currently counts over 3.5 million users (search for Al.ta Cucina on FB and Instagram 🙂 ) and they’re eagerly waiting to move to our own platform.

We currently have an early version of our vision up and running at

The site currently counts around 450.000 uniques a month, with around 130 users online at any given time.

We also have a design system in place, created by an award winning designer (he was one of the 9 winners of this year Apple Design Awards). And our iOS app is in beta on Testflight.

We are looking for someone hungry (we can feed you though) eager to learn new things everyday (especially about our users) and grow with our organisation! Even a remote worker is fine (our tech team is distributed), but if you are based in Milan that's even better.

The person will help us improve the overall UX/UI, think of and implement new features and help us disrupt the food space.

Reach out if you’re a hungry, curious and motivated designer. We don't care about your age or your experience, but we do care about your work, even if it's just a small side project.

We need somebody who is ready to disrupt things.

If you are ready to take initiative and share your crazy ideas with our team and build a product that will be used by millions, then join us now.

Eat pasta, ship fasta!

Carbonaras are waiting for you.

PS. if you are really interested in this job, answer to these questions on your motivational letter:

  • Why do you think you are a good fit for this particular project?
  • You get hired today. What are 3 quick design wins to improve our site you'd work on in your first day with us?
  • Your job is to think and to implement a new feature on our app. What would it be, why would you add it and how would you test your assumptions?

Working with Al.ta Cucina means also having the following benefits:

- occasional lunches in exclusives restaurants with the Al.ta Cucina team

- flexible on schedule and work place (even a remote worker is fine)

- events and talks to let you keep improving on your design and culinary skills

- desserts and plates of all kind to no end

- one lunch all together cooked by the founders

- monthly team-building events

- "occasional" wine and beer tastings

- tante altre sorprese
